STAGES OF THE ENTREPRENEUR - MINDSET

Today I want to take some time to talk to you about the stages of the entrepreneur. When we want to undertake, we are so excited about the expectations of the results we think we will obtain that we launch ourselves without having a previous analysis. For that reason, I want to save you a lot of time in your life and show you an overview of what you are facing. In this blog, I want to describe the most crucial stages that you must overcome if you really want to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship. If you manage to overcome them, I guarantee you will be part of the 2%.

UNCONSCIOUS OPTIMISM

In this stage, we are identified by having a brilliant idea with which we think we will become rich, millionaires, and will achieve great success. Generally, we are crunching numbers and have a short-term mentality; we are so in love with the idea that there is no one to stop us, even when people think we are crazy, we don't let those comments affect us. Here we find ourselves with great optimism because we are not aware of what may happen in the process; this part is good because it allows us to keep moving forward. We are so unaware that we don't worry about what's to come, and if we think about it, we say "I can handle anything"; we could compare this stage to being in love.

CONSCIOUS PESSIMISM

This stage happens thanks to optimism; generally, we are very motivated with our idea and decide to start our venture. Imagine a roller coaster, where unconscious optimism launches you upwards just to the point where we are now (conscious pessimism). Why pessimism? Firstly, because as you put effort into it, you realize many realities such as customers not rushing to buy your product, entrepreneurship is not as easy as you imagined, people are only somewhat interested in your product or service. So, you realize everything that awaits you and the challenges you must face in entrepreneurship; your illusions die, and you start to feel discouraged and overwhelmed.

CRITICAL STAGE

Pessimism, after realizing the reality of entrepreneurship, we plummet into the third stage, the "Critical Stage". Here we make a decision, we pause our venture, and analyze our idea, we ask ourselves a bunch of questions like, "Are we willing?" "Do I really love this?" "Is this for me?" all the questions lead us to discouragement, even to victimization.

Here we can fall into a vicious circle where we decide to end the idea and after a while, we return to the motivation stage and start with another idea; and so on until trying out a lot of ventures.

Critical stage

It's okay to try out many ventures until you find the one that really excites you, but keep in mind that you must find a way out; otherwise, life will end, and you will never succeed.

So, what is the way out?

In this stage, you have two ways out: to give up or to rise again on the entrepreneurship curve.

CONSCIOUS OPTIMISM

If you notice, this stage is similar to the first one, the difference is that now you are aware of everything that entrepreneurship requires. This stage develops only if you decide not to give up; now you know yourself, you have had lessons, failures, maturity, despair, and many things in favor and against.

Now you are aware of everything that is required to undertake, and yet you decide to continue, not from motivation but from a state of challenge, you know it will be difficult, things to give up, plans ruined, but still, you decide to move forward.

CONSCIOUS OPTIMISM

We must be careful not to condition ourselves with ventures, so as not to be progressively undertaking and giving up. Ask yourself if you are not in this condition. I'll read you in the comments.
